Uses Magical, Medical, Alchemical and Culinary
Hildegard von Bingen says: "A person who has a pain inside his throat, or whose voice is hoarse, should cook a thrush in water. He should dip a linen cloth in the water and tie it loosely over his whole throat, up to his ears. From the rest of the water he should prepare a broth and eat this. His throat and voice will be better if he does this often. One who ails in his liver or lungs should often eat thrush cooked in water, and he will be cured." (Throop translation)
