Description
A pattern book. Color miniatures. Includes drawings of animals and birds, and some bestiary material.
Copied partly from German models (Dürer, the grotesque alphabet of 1464, etc.). Contains the arms of John de Vere, Earl of Oxford, d. 1513, and of the Emperor Charles V (after 1519).
Many of the illustrations are very similar to those in Yale Center for British Art, Helmingham Herbal and Bestiary.
