This is a multi-part manuscript, mostly on the marvels of the East. It is extensively and lavishly illustrated.

Part 1 (folio 3r-208r): La Roman d'Alexander (The Romance of Alexander), a description of the conquests of Alexander the Great in the east (Persia, India) and the wonderful people and animals he found there. By Alexander of Paris in old French.

Part 2 (folio 1r-2r, 209r-273r): Alexander and Dindimus, part of the Alexander cycle, in Middle English; Le devisement du monde, the 'Court French' version of the narrative of Marco Polo.
