Le Dit de la Queue de Renart is a fourteenth century satirical poem in 192 lines of Old French rhyme. The author is unknown. It uses the Reynard the Fox genre to criticize the corruption of society in the author’s time. The author lists multiple professions, both secular and clerical, that he warns about the evil of emulating Reynard.
