Errores y divergencias en la traducción: las fuentes del Bestiari catalán
In Catalonian, there are different manuscripts, some are still complete and others in fragments, from a Tuscan bestiary. It is a hard task to find out the connection between the Catalonian testimonies and its possible original manuscript due to the big amount of manuscripts preserved in both languages and its peculiarities. However, we think that the original manuscript that was used for the Catalonian translation belongs in a Tuscan’s manuscripts family that we have called “Paris-Rome”. This paperwork is a travel across the many differences we find in the Catalonian translation, and also the common mistakes. Although we can find a quite correct use of the Tuscan language, –and knowing that Tuscan is very similar to Catalonian language–, some difficulties come up while translating, some solved in a curious way. - [Abstract]
