Description

The Civic Historical Archive and Trivulziana Library achieved its current form in 1935 following the City of Milan's purchase of the book collections of the noble Milanese Trivulzio family and the decision to annex them to the existing municipal historical archives located in the Cortile della Rocchetta at Sforza Castle. Since then, the histories of the two collections, formed at entirely different times and in entirely different ways, have been inextricably linked.
