Description

The Liber Floridus of Lambert of St. Omer, a twelfth century encyclopedia of Biblical, chronological, astronomical, geographical, theological, philosophical and natural history subjects. Illustrated with 98 coloured drawings. The animal images are finely drawn in pen, and colored with a wash. The style is remarkably modern. These images are copied almost exactly in manuscript Koninklijke Bibliotheek, 128 C 4.
