The Liber Floridus of Lambert of Saint-Omer.

This is the Liber Floridus manuscript designated H1.

Liber Floridus is a twelfth century encyclopedia of Biblical, chronological, astronomical, geographical, theological, philosophical and natural history subjects. This manuscript is illustrated with 98 colored drawings. The animal images are finely drawn in pen, and colored with a wash. The style is remarkably modern. These images are copied almost exactly in manuscript Koninklijke Bibliotheek, 128 C 4, a French translation.
