Description
The various descriptions of this manuscript are contradictory and confused. It appears to have at least a partial copy of the De avibus by Hugh of Fouilloy, possibly starting on folio 178v, where there is the Anglo-Norman incipit Un oisel est ki l'en apele en engleis nuteheht, ki fet trous el cheen a fere son ni (from the Jonas description). The Bodleian Library description says part 7 is the De bestiis et aliis rebus attributed to Hugh of St Victor, but does not state the folio. The Bodleian Quarto Catalog says the Liber de naturis animalium is on folio 23r, with the Latin incipit ex cis quod filius Messye dixit in libro de animalium. The addendum to the Quarto Catalog mentions the De bestiis et aliis rebus, but is not clear on where the reference is or what it refers to.
