Description
The De natura rerum libri XX, an encyclopedia by Thomas of Cantimpré is on folio 3r-220v. This is the Liber de natura rerem version with 20 books instead of 19; the additional book is on eclipses and celestial motion. Each book is preceded by a table listing the titles of the chapters in that book.
The De natura rerum libri XX is followed by an unidentified text on animals (folio 221r-224r), possibly derived from the Physiologus, describing about 15 birds and beasts. That part of the manuscript is in a different script; it is damaged with several pages missing large sections.
