Description
The prose version of L'Image du monde, an encyclopedia by Gossuin de Metz. Illustrated with several astronomical and geographical drawings and diagrams. There are chapters in the encyclopedia dealing with animals, all in the Geography section. The animal chapters are not illustrated.
This manuscript was used by William Caxton as the basis for a translation into English in 1474, Mirrour of the World.
