Contains extracts from the Bestiaire d'amour by Richard de Fournival on folio 101r-114v. The text is illustrated with small colored and framed images; some images are damaged or have been cut out.
This is the copy of the Bestiaire designated J.
The manuscript is incomplete and mutilated. A note in the manuscript by former owners says "The manuscript was obtained at the abbey [Library of the Monastery of Saint Vedast at Arras] around the year 1625. From then on it was spoiled with the chisel and insulted by children, according to the appearances" and “In 1720, this manuscript was torn from time immemorial by people who insulted antiquity".
