Description

"The Manuscript Department receives, preserves, studies and makes available to scholars the manuscripts and archival collections. It is responsible for the inventory, classification and cataloguing of the collections; their maintenance, preservation; providing assistance to the scholars; collaborating with other Departments, Services and Commissions in all areas regarding the collections of manuscripts and archives. The Manuscript Department participates in conferences, scientific expositions, and international work groups relative to materials which are handled by the Department. It is comprised of two Sections (Manuscripts Section and Archive Section)." - library web site
