Description
Formerly BVMM, now called ARCA. "ARCA is the result of the merger of the Medium database (Directory of reproduced or listed manuscripts) and the BVMM (Virtual library of medieval manuscripts of the IRHT). It replaces these two tools since 2023."
The Virtual Library of Medieval Manuscripts (BVMM), developed by the Research Institute and history of texts (IRHT-CNRS), allows you to consult the reproduction of a large selection of manuscripts, from the Middle Ages to Sixteenth century.
IRHT, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Communication (Service du Livre et de la Reading) and the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (Mission of scientific and technical information and the documentary network), carries out photographic campaigns in heritage fonds scattered throughout France, except those of the National Library of France.
