Sources : Finges
Thomas of Cantimpré [circa 1200-1272 CE] (Liber de natura rerum, Quadrupeds 4.45): Finges are animals living in Ethiopia. They have a brown hair, as Pliny says. Contrary to the custom of almost all animals beyond human beings, they have two nipples on their chests, with which they seem to suckle their young. This animal is neither too wild nor completely tame, since they cannot bear injuries easily. - [Badke translation/paraphrase]
