The he-goat is a lascivious beast, known for its lusty nature. This nature makes the he-goat so hot that its blood can dissolve diamond, a stone neither fire nor iron can harm.
Uses Magical, Medical, Alchemical and Culinary
The blood of a he-goat that has been fed ivy breaks up bladder stones. Its horn when burned drives away serpents (also said of stag horns), and is a treatment for fevers and cankers and nose polyps. Its liver helps those bitten by mad dogs. Its gall is used to treat eye problems; mixed with its urine it can be used to treat leprosy.
