General Attributes

The selfyr is a serpent that does not crawl in a straight line, but always its body drawn together in tight loops. It has a small head and lines of several colors on its body. Its bite causes bruising of the whole body, corruption of the skin, and death.

The selfyr appears only in the De animalibus of Albertus Magnus.
