An insect with horns on its head like a stag
General Attributes
The stag-beetle is found in some medieval encyclopedias. It is a large beetle called cervus volans (literally "flying stag") because it has horns like a stag, with which it bites viciously. Its head will continue to live for some time after it is cut off.
