Victor Vitensis, Historia Vandalorum, miscellaneous other texts including a bestiary. The bestiary is on folio 139v to 166v. Folio 139v has a table of contents listing 38 beasts. In addition to the Physiologus text, most chapters have an excerpt from the Etymologiae of Isidore of Seville, preceded by the rubric "Ethimologia" or "Ethimologia Ysidori". Miniatures illustrate most chapters; marginal drawings were added c. 1300. The illustrations are mostly uncolored drawings; only a few have a color wash in some areas. |
