Third digital edition

A third digital edition of Bestiary-related books and articles is now available. This is The Caladrius And Its Legend , Sculptured Upon The Twelfth-Century Doorway Of Alne Church, Yorkshire, by George C. Druce. There are also a few more bibliography entries.

Second digital edition

Beast descriptions

New search

There is now a Search facility available, which will search all pages on this site. The “eye” symbol on the toolbar will take you directly to the search page. The Bibliography and Manuscript pages have also been updated.

Bibliography growing

The Manuscript pages have been much updated, as have the Bibliography pages. I have not yet done much with the beast descriptions, and posting of beast images will not be possible until copyright permissions have been granted.

New server

The site is now on its own (virtual) server, instead of sharing a domain. This allows linking to individual pages, and gives me much more disk space. The Bibliography is up to about 320 items, the Manuscripts and Beasts sections have much more information. The site may soon actually be useful…
